SFDC Event Director Report – Feb 2016
Greetings members,
Here is a brief announcement from me representing the Board. We are beginning to roll out the events for 2016. Despite the tight budget, together, we will find a way to maximize the budget so that we all can have another memorable year!

SFDC Purpose
Mission statement:
San Francisco Deaf Club promotes social and general betterment of its Deaf members within the Bay Area.
Event Proposals
There are three types of request that we will be considering:
Donations: We will provide funds and require nothing from the organization.
Sponsorship: We will provide funds and develop a Memorandum of Understanding that will list all benefits and agreements between the organization and SFDC. SFDC will receive non-fiscal benefits out of the sponsorship agreement.
Partnership: We will provide funds and develop a Memorandum of Understanding that will list all benefits and agreements between he organization and SFDC. SFDC will receive fiscal benefits out of the partnership agreement.

A key to a successful event is good planning. This pre-event planning form (download form here- PDF) provides you with some general questions and thoughts to consider prior to proposing an event for the following fiscal year. You and the club?s event director will be working together on the planning process after the board approves the proposal. The decision on whether to approve is dependent on how the activity will meet the club?s goals, timeline, number of participants (preferably more than 20 members), and availability of funds.
Membership
Membership Fee: $5.00 per year
Membership expires on November of each year.
